I’ve just downloaded and tested the new Opera Browser (10beta)—on a PC.

Whilst it mightn’t have all of the bells and whistles of Firefox with plugins, for general browsing, it has to be the fastest browser I’ve ever used!

This forum loads in about half the time it took the previous Opera 9.64 .. and that was faster than IE .. and Firefox .. and ..

A couple of others could take a leaf out of their book .. but then, if fast browsing was generally available, web developers might decide they could afford to pake their pages even bigger 😛 !

If you think that is fast, try Safari 4 😊

(I never thought I would give credit to anything apple…)

The new Opera beta uses “a compression technology that provides significant improvements in browsing speeds over limited-bandwidth connections”. Haven’t tried it myself yet.
