Dreamweaver is a natural tool if you program in the traditional html coding way.

Now for the MVC coding like on CI framework, some powerful features of dreamweaver will not be needed.

I am still using DW, most time, I am using its code view anyway.

I would like to know if any other web tools are more natural than Deamweaver when I am coding on CI framework.

    Thanks!

php Designer works great with libraries and helpers.  You can point to the CI directories and you get “code completion” help while building your product.

I too use DW for coding and I love it.  It just doesn’t know anything about CI’s libraries like php Designer does.

One benefit to using it as a plugin is you can use the 64bit version of Eclipse.
