It is set to “Allow ALL HTML” and also allows image URLs and turns URLs and email addresses into links.

I tried changing it to “Convert HTML into character entities,” but no joy.

I think the issue has gone away. Yeah! 😊

I was in the process of giving up on having the email address submitted. So, I decided that I needed the member ID, which I added to the form using PHP and put it in a hidden field. Then, I added this new field into both my FreeForm and Moblog templates (at the end, nothing else was changed in the templates) and to my weblog custom fields. I was then going to use the member ID to grab the email address using the custom profile data and display it on my page.

I then submitted an entry using my FreeForm form. All of a sudden, for no reason that I can figure out, the email address showed up correctly in the weblog entry. Amazing. It also works if I send the email directly.

I swear that that is all I did. Anyway, for now it appears that all is good.

I want to sincerely thank all of you who helped. The support that you provide makes EE worth far more than the modest cost for my 2 licenses. I really appreciate it.

You can close this thread. If it acts up again, I either figure it out, or start another thread with a pointer to this one.

    Thanks again!

Hm, strange… Sounds like an intermittent server issues of some sort, perhaps? The important thing is it went away, of course, but it still has me wondering. If it does come up again, by all means do let us know about it. Closing for now as per request.
