I just started to play with Aptana, but I ran into a crazy bug, if I open a PHP file it will open a black window in the editor. If I close the session and restart Aptana the PHP file I opened will be up and I can see and scroll through the contents. If I open another PHP file it will look exactly like the first PHP file I opened.

Anyone ever run into this problem?

Is this a clean Aptana install or do you have any extra plugins? Latest version?

Just the PHP plugin, installed from the opening screen inside the IDE. Im running Aptana 1.2.7

Well I did some searching in the Aptana support section and it looks like its some bug with the version of eclipse that Aptana is built on. If you run eclipse 3.4 its suppose to work. However, I found that if I close the Aptana startup window before I open any files I dont have any problems.

I edited my above post with some more info.

The problem was with basically every every file type besides those with the txt extension.

Hm..I can’t think of any solutions, perhaps reinstalling Aptana would work.
