    This goes back to the shoe spammer site. I talked about creating a support group. WDWCSCHA (Web Developers Who Cannot Stop Clicking Hyperlinks Anonymous)...im starting to think we actually may need it 😊

    And here’s another one.  Links in profile to diet pills.

    I was on another forum, and they were posting links to their profiles for various forums, where they advertise their product and give links in profiles. 

    I hate spammers.

    Excuse me? There is nothing spammy about my post.  If I posted in the wrong place - sorry.  Just referred here by my Purdue student, to help me with my blog.  Looks like you guys have links in your posts referring to your business or work.  Thanks for the nice warm welcome!

    Perhaps it would be an idea to change the way the signatures work. For example you could disable URL’s until the user has 20 posts. It won’t stop spammers, but it will prevent people from clicking on the URL’s.

    I think that was suggested in the spam prevention idea thread
    The problem with those sort of rules is it encourages the would be spammer to make 20 random posts just so they have have the link in their sig
