I recently updated a website from 1.6.6 to 1.6.7 and added a number of extensions including MSM.

Everything worked seemingly as normal till i tried editing a template.

when i try to edit i get this error.

MySQL ERROR:

Error Number: 1054

Description: Unknown column ‘last_author_id’ in ‘field list’

Query: SELECT group_id, template_name, save_template_file, template_data, template_notes, template_type, edit_date, last_author_id FROM exp_templates WHERE template_id = ‘1’

I have tried updating again, but it says I’m at 1.6.7
I tried editing the config to 1.6.6 to see if that would force a change, it went through the process, but didn’t change the issue.
I then edited the config to 1.6.5 and tried again. no change.

any ideas?

Welcome to the forums, Jeff. last_author_id was added with the 1.6.5 upgrade. Are you quite sure you had been on 1.6.6 before? Here’s what I’d suggest: make a verified backup of your database and config.php. Than open config.php in an editor, change the version info to 164 and run update.php again. Let us know what errors, if any, you are getting.

I thought i’d only bought from 1.6.6.
but forgot that i had upgraded from a core installation from earlier.
