you won’t be able to do that as your just wanting a sub domain of the codeigniter domain. Since you dont own codeigniter.com you won’t be able to get the sub domain set up. That said you should contact ellis labs and let them know about your idea. Maybe they would work with you…who knows.  Another option of course would be to get your own domain and then you can do whatever you want.

i know what you are saying , but what i mean is like a subdomain of the official CI domain , for users from others countryes.
Basic example , http://www.codeigniter.com is for everyone but in english language .
Let say that it.codeigniter.com would be for italian users in italian language , or bg.codeigniter.com for bulgarian language/users ... if you understand what i mean ...

I would bought the codeigniter tld for my country BUT has allready been bought by somebody else that wants to sell it at a overprice ...

Unless I’m missing something, you don’t buy a subdomain. it.codigniter.com is simply a subdomain of the main codeigniter domain.  If you wanted an Italian subdomain you would need to contact the owners of the codeigniter domain which I believe is ellis labs.  Otherwise you would need to get your own domain that isn’t *.codeigniter.com. Like I said, unless   I’m missing something this sounds like your only option.

    ggoforth got it right…

If you find a way though, can you fix sucksass.microsoft.com for me? 😊

Just wanted a subdomain , not to buy it but to use it for codeigniter users from my country , to be translated into my language , this way spreading CI into other languages/countryes but seems like this is not quite possible .

    ggoforth you were close 😊

“If you wanted an Italian subdomain you would need to contact the owners of the codeigniter domain which I believe is ellis labs” .
I wrote the question here because i tought the official staff will read it 😊

Anyway , if is not possible , just ignore this thread 😊

Not saying it’s not possible, you just need to talk with Ellis labs.  It’s their call what sub-domains they set up.

And yes, Johan, I’ll set up sucksass.microsoft.com for you.  That’s hilarious…

Johan you can do it yourself, setup a local server on your local network and create a domain name called microsoft.com and add a subdomain called sucksass.microsoft.com and post it to the internets!

Of course, there is no need to post that anyways because you are just one of those Mac users who like to bash Microsoft. I’m a person that has Windows, Mac, Linux because each has something I need from them.

Indeed, you do seem a little Mac intense.

    “Imac 24” C2D 3.06Ghz / 4GB RAM / Geforce 8800GS 512MB
    Macbook Pro 15” C2D 2.53Ghz / 4GB RAM / NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT 512MB
    iPhone 3G 16Gb Black”

    Nice spec though, sexy kit.

Can’t beat my Dell though, 1gb Graphics, 12gb RAM, 4x3ghz quad core.

    Only a bit OTT.

Agreed, not what you have but how you use it. That said, I’ve seen Mac classics that still work. Don’t think they will do the job well though.

I could potentially run Linux on my old P1 still (and I have used it not too long ago)
But doing anything productive… No chance
Even little things like auto complete took about a second to appear

Right beside me I have an old ITX machine that runs me a nice little media server and I have never felt that it needed and upgrade.

If CI did set up subdomains, they would almost absolutely be virtual. No reason for hole new code base for something as trivial as language versions.
