    Hi everyone,

I need to “drive” a map (which is build in Flash) with a template XML, It’s quite easy with EE, but I don’t understand something. Let me explain :

I need to have one custom field (drop down list) with all the states inside, and when you choose one state, the second “list” will load all the estates from the first custom filed.

    Is it possible ?

Thanks in advance, I hope my English is clear enough.

    Simon -

I think this is really Flash issue. If you’re rendering an XML file (or many XML files), you can load them on-demand from your Flash application. Depending on the amount of data and the type, you can probably just load all of the data at once and choose what to show inside the Flash application. If you’re looking to get Flash to trigger another XML document to be created based on user input, I think that may be the problem. Make sense? Am I understanding your issue?

    Julie, thanks for the assist.

Simon, this sounds more of a flash question than an EE question. I’m going to move this to General for additional community involvement.

I wish I can speak English better, it’s not making the “things” easier

I’ve made a small screen shoot of my issue…
Maybe a image will speak better than me

    Does it make sense ?

Thanks in advance for helping me, quite hard for me to explain want I want sometime!

You are looking for “chained select boxes”. This is not too difficult on a regular website (or, the SAEF) using using some Javascript / jQuery. For this to work in the CP, though, you’d need a custom extension, I think.
