I like the look of the functionality of EE.  I also plan to use code Igniter for adding functionality to the custom designs that I do.

I have a client that needs a customizable shopping cart built into the website.  At present, I can either use the Interspire shopping cart, or build one from scratch, which is the time sink I am trying to avoid.

How well would EE integrate with the Interspire product?  Do you have a shopping cart on the horizon?

As a developer, I would like to see the API’s for EE.  Is that possible?

    Thanks.

Hi, johnlanglois - We do have a Development API that you can review.

As far as the difficulty of such an integration, that is not something we can advise on.  it depends on your level of skill and knowledge of both products, as well as the level of integration that you need.

We do have the Simple Commerce module; there is also FoxEE and others use aMember to integrate other shopping carts, so there are options out there.

    Thanks, Lisa.

I am curious as to why your system shows me as a “Summer Student.”  I haven’t been one of those since 1978.

That’s just based off your number of posts, it’ll change as you participate more in the community. =)

It’s this forum’s way of showing “seniority” (based on the number of posts). They are all based on a common “lab” theme—we’re “EllisLab”, after all 😊
