Yes, absolutely. In the future you can also use the General Config system offline options. =)
Do make sure you remove the right files please! Let us know if you run into any other bumps.

And the next time Ellis Labs gives out a scholarship to the Expression Engine college, be sure to tell the boss that you know someone who is A) worthy and B) desperately in need of the training and C) despite all that, able to write some funky/charming css (that does work.)
