Ah, momentous occasions!  We’ve hit another milestone and are therefore opening up the application process for the Developer Preview of ExpressionEngine 2.0.  The developer preview release version is code named “Kaylee”, so you’ll see us make references to Kaylee regularly during the coming weeks.

We’re excited about the progress being made, and we know you’re excited as well to have another visible mark of our forward momentum.  So, coders, hop on over to the application page, which includes details on who this program is for and what the requirements are for applying!

Would it be too much to think Kaylee is a FireFly reference, or does that just show me up as the geek I am? I just finished a WPMU site that I would have loved to do in 2.0 too…

This is great! I think I already applied (using the EE Roadshow sign up). Is there a way to check?

A really big sign that EE 2.0 is getting closer. Looking forward to hearing about it in the coming weeks.

I do not see a sign up from your email address, WTHIGO?  Would you have used a different account to sign up?

This would have been it, I signed up from this account after the roadshow (the link is now gone or overwritten I should say). I still have the receipt and super secret “phrase” given out.

However, I see this is only for established devs so I can wait if need be! Thanks for the quick reply!

Ok, I see it under the “wait until beta” folder.  If you qualify, you’ll need to apply at this new location for the dev preview program.  Otherwise, you’re still on file for the Roadshow participant beta.

Naming our Dev Preview after Serenity’s beautiful, extremely capable ship’s mechanic just seemed appropriate.

This is fantastic. I’ll assume that any participants will be under a strict NDA?

Signing up now. Never watched Firefly but took a look on images.google.com and isn’t that Jewel Staite from Stargate Atlantis I see there?

    Best wishes,

    Mark
