I have two - I could do with three. If I had three I would find a use for the fourth. If I had four then I would want a Mini Mac - If I had a Mini Mac I wouldn’t be able to see what I was doing - (unless I bought a screen as well.)

There’s always one isn’t there? 😉
Have you not heard of a hub? 😊

Why have an extra piece of hardware when one will do?

If you are referring to e-man’s post then I don’t think you can get something that is a computer, printer, scanner, iPod dock, Skype Phone all in one can you? 😉
If you are on the other hand (I know you are referring to this I was just joking above) referring to the hub then it’s just that I prefer my computers without as many holes in them. I just feel like they have been butchered when that happens. 😉

Sheesh who needs that many USB ports?!!
Two words: Power Users.
Or, anyone else who needs more than two USB ports. Just a quick look at my “interim Mac’s system” (waiting for new models) reveals:
1) scanner, 2) iPod, 3) camera, 4) hard drive, 5) audio mixer, 6) Skype headset, 7) TV tuner, 8) printer, 9) keyboard/mouse, and two others I’m not sure what they go to but they’re plugged in and I don’t want to dig around trying to find out because it all works and I don’t want to break anything.

Some of these are of course not always hooked in, but switching out cables is a pain, much nicer to leave the dongle plugged in:
Vado HD
Garmin nüvi
iPhone
Garmin Forerunner
Scanner
2 hard drives
keyboard
mouse
Canon Rebel XT
PS3 controllers (to charge)

Not quite sure about that one. I consider myself to definitely be a power user as I have been using Macs ever since they pretty much first came out so know pretty much all there is to know but I think I know what you are getting at 😉

Point duly noted 😊
I’m off now to see if I can block up a few ports on my Mac and still get everything done. I reckon so 😉
