Each custom profile field has an option to be included on the registration page, so yes. Just choose yes for that option. =)

under:
CP Home › Admin › Members and Groups › Register a New Member

Ah, no. That is a very basic form and there is not an out of the box option right now to add custom profile fields to it. Might be possible via extension, so worth having a look at the extension hooks and see if one would be suitable. =)
