I have just encountered a problem where a forum mod, or admin has been moving threads and/or deleting threads.

I have asked why and I have asked who. No one has come forward.

Is there any mechanism as the site admin I can work out who moved or deleted the threads?

    Greetings DB:

Sorry, but at this time, there is not an audit log of forums actions.  I would suggest making a feature request on this.  In the meantime, I might suggest locking down mod/admin access until you can get to the bottom of it.  😊

Another option would be to build a custom extension that would either log these to its own DB table, or email you when a delete or move action occurs.  You can find the development api here.

Thanks for the replies Greg and Lisa,

The weird thing is that the two threads in question are not in the slightest controversial. One has been copied from our General Discussion area into a more appropriate area, the other has had the lead post which highlights a review on our front end deleted and the rest then moved to our mods only section.

This leads me to believe it was a deliberate action as opposed to a system fubar. Hopefully someone will come forward and explain their actions 😊

Strange indeed.  Aside from people doing things they shouldn’t be on your forums, are you good to go?  😊

Yup, good to go. I suspect someone hit a button by mistake and has not realised it yet.

As for a feature request, yup, will be submitting one, seems logical that there should be some mechanism for an audit trail or method to track changes.
