Yeah it was long time coming, new owners. I hope they spice up (X)HTML side of things as well as open up the custom code and extensions development…you know the {EE}{/EE} world 😉.
It has good roots…I would really like to see it come back in full.

“Nick Bradbury is the creator of the HTML editor HomeSite, which was acquired by Allaire in 1996 and is now owned by Macromedia Adobe. After leaving Allaire in 1998, Nick founded Bradbury Software and continued his love of acronyms by creating the CSS/xHTML editor TopStyle Bradbury Software was acquired (along with Nick) by NewsGator”

Nicks original product Homesite was/is brilliant and is still used by many. It was never really updated with the change to Macromedia. Nick had delegated development of TopStyle so not alot has been happening with that lately either. Hope the change of ownership this time is good news.

I hope so too, there is a newsgroup setup for the v4 so I am keeping an eye on it. I desperately want TopStyle quality of CSS editing but tired of running multiple apps. They all have strong points but never quite cut it.PSPad,Notepad++,DW,UEstudio, Stylizer,E-texteditor….wish there was some sort of flavor of Coda for windows.
Well, it is out there in the works…so let’s see how it goes. I was a fan of Homesite and DW/UD =< v4 but TopStyle was my choice for CSS. Fingers crossed.

I write all my code in chalk, that way I can run the script immediately following running out of driveway.  This looks pretty cool, to bad I am on liunx.
