As of this week ExpressionEngine 2.0 has achieved “feature lockdown,” meaning its highly unlikely anything new will be added to the initial release at this point.

The wait is killing me. Can’t wait to read the next update. Unfortunately that day I’ll be in a job interview, lol.

The jquery module sound awesome! Especially since so many websites are using some js framework.

Can’t wait for the next update!

Waiting with baited breath (I’ve brushed my teeth though I promise 😉 ) for the next update.

I keep on getting e-mails from users on here asking me when 2.0 is coming out, quite annoying (the people e-mailing me directly I mean). I’m not an Almanac you know 😊

The jQuery Module does sound very interesting. I just really really need to get up to speed with Javascript as I’m a little way behind everyone at the moment unfortunately. For some reason the Javascript language just doesn’t want to stick in my noggin!

Appreciate the update though. Can’t wait for the next one.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

Did you guys manage to sneak in jQuery 1.3? Is there a way of pointing to a newer version or updating it?

So, has anyone started a ‘Guess the big day” pool yet?

Being able to use different versions of jquery might be useful - I saw somewhere that a plugin was broken with the new release (sorry can’t remember link) - not an issue for me personally, but could be.

It wouldn’t be fair. Mark knows when it’s going to release.

Well if that’s true I wish I could remember!

I promise you I don’t know but if one of the dev team wants to tell me I promise I won’t blab 😉

It’s always good to hear good news! Looking forward to the next update!

You know what’s kind of weird? I haven’t seen a whole lot of “when is ExpressionEngine 2.0 coming out?” questions. I think everyone is being patient….

My guess, April 15th. A bad news (taxes) and good news (2.0) date…And just knowing how the EE crew likes to do things like that. Oh, that’s right, Paul’s no longer there so never mind

Nobody gave the old standard answer. “It will come out when it’s good a ready” LOL!

I myself was going to rewrite the code base for EE and then I remembered I really have no clue when it comes to programming.  The best version I can do is 1.6.6.0.0.0.0.0.1, who wants it:)

Keep the updates coming and thanks for keeping us in dah loop!
