EE seems to be ignoring my parse="inward" parameter on magpie plugin

    Here is my code.

    The encodedecode plugin tries to work on {magpie:link} literally, rather than the actual link produced by magpie. Why would EE be ignoring my parse=“inward” parameter?

    It ends up giving me:

    href="{magpie:link}"

    as the link.

    I’m needing to do this to get my page to validate, as the feed produces a link URL with an & in it. No matter what plugin I try and use to make the URL valid, it fails, as it is trying to work on the link before the link is fetched I believe.

    Double check the quotes on your parse=“inward” tag.  It looks like it may be using curly quotes (type them in yourself, do not copy-paste).

    That did it! Thanks. I tend to copy and paste at times and definitely didn’t notice the curly quotes.

    I’m sure we’ve all done it.  I’m glad it was an easy fix.
