    Hi

We need to create an area where by registered members can upload a new advert or ammend an existing advert. We were hoping to achieve this by giving members restricted access to the control panel. Is this achievable or should a custom login area be created? If so, are there any tutorials that could help point us in the right direction? Any help in this matter would be appreciated. Thank you.

You can handle this all in the EE control panel.

The overall process is to create a new member group, and configure that member group to only have access to the proper weblogs (and nothing else), then register your users into that member group.

You can view the Member Group related docs here.

    Thank you for your post.
I have worked my way through how member groups work, however I was wondering if there was a way that I could create a member add them to a group but only allow them access to a custom page we have designed using the freeform module.  Ie make the custom page appear in the control panel

    Many thanks
