    Can you try to disable them? Use the green button to disable extension globally, that way you are not losing your settings.

    mjds - so that we are positive what entry ExpressionEngine is checking, can you add this at the top of your reduced template:

    {exp:weblog:entries limit="1"}
    {title}: {entry_id}: {status}

    {/exp:weblog:entries}

    and give us a link to the template?

    That is really pretty special, and not in the good way!  I’m going to pop over an email; if you can respond to that then we’ll do some further troubleshooting in the morning.

    Thank you!

    Gyah I know! It was driving me nuts for days before I finally gave in and asked about it.

    I’ve been through the changelog for the last update and the only thing I can think of that might be affecting it (and I might be totally off the wall with this) is this from the changelog:

    Fixed a bug with URL title creation when no URL title is supplied and the entry title contains multi-byte characters.

    Because my set up is for English and Japanese I have a small hack in my db file to force the db to be utf-8 so Japanese is readable when browsing the db directly.

    Like I said - might be way off the track here but that is the only difference I can see between mine and a bog standard EE installation.

    mjds - did you receive my email?  I haven’t received the information yet so wanted to check with you.

    Hi, mjds - I just received the details and will be looking at this this evening and should be back to you with an update by tomorrow.  Thank you!

    Sorry I did. The warning message made me nervous though so I mirrored the site before completing the details.

    Er, ok.  Have you confirmed that the mirrored site suffers the same problem? Unfortunately mirroring a site can cause its own problems so before I can go in and troubleshoot, please do some extensive testing and make sure the site is working properly.  Thank you!

    The problem is the same on the mirrored site and the templates and database identical.

    Thanks.

    The account you created for us in your control panel is not a Super Admin account.  I’d rather not directly manipulate your database to move this member group, even though it’s a mirror, so can you please the account within the Super Admin?  I assume since this is a mirror that any testing we need to do will be unencumbered.  Your database core hack is incorrect, btw.  After enabling error reporting in this environment, many errors were revealed due to how you were calling the query.  I’ve modified the db.mysql.php file in this installation to include your hack, but in a way that will not cause errors.

    Please let me know when you’ve made the change to the account, so that I may continue testing, including creating and editing new templates to perform my own reduction tests and debugging.  Thank you!

    Thanks Derek - I’ve changed the member group.

    Also thanks for the hack for utf-8.

    Happy New Year!
