Shannon, I know you’d prefer to not set Automatically turn URLs and email addresses into links? to No, but if you do that, what happens?

Odd thing is… that doesn’t work either. I tried that earlier today and it doesn’t fix either problem. It seems that when you use the formating buttons, it will still turn it automatically into a link… because those buttons insert html/expression engine code.

Do you know if there is a way to set the email button to insert a “mail to” tag, rather than an {encode} tag? Although I wouldn’t mind keeping the encode feature, it’s not absolutely necessary and this would likely solve both problems I think.
