Even if the preview template’s exp:channel:entries loop contains:

show_expired="yes"Closed or expired entries cannot be previewed. The template renders in the preview pane, but any area that should be displaying entry data simply shows up blank unless the status or expiration date is changed.
Replace system/ee/EllisLab/Addons/channel/mod.channel.php with the contents of 2018-09-21-mod.channel_.php_.zip.
