On the /admin.php?/cp/design page, enter a search term and press “Search Templates”. If you immediately enter another search term after the results load and repeat this process (or just hit the “Search Templates” button again), you’ll notice that the URL concatenates the new query with the old one. If you do this about 10-15 times (at least on my server), you’ll eventually get an error like the following:
Request-URI Too Large
The requested URL’s length exceeds the capacity limit for this server.
