Version: 2.2.1 Reporter: lehrerfreund —
This is an archived bug report. If you are experiencing a similar issue, upgrade to the latest release and if that does not solve the problem, submit a new bug report
When you edit a comment in the backend you can change the name, the url, the location, the status and the comment. But you cannot change the email-address.
Sometimes it occurs that you get a mail with “please delete my comment, in 2007 i wrote something which i don’t want to see in the web no more”. But you cannot delete the comment, because the follow-up-comments and their numbers would get weird. So you change the name of the person. If you do this you should also have the possibility to change the mail of the person - imagine: You write back “ok, I changed your name” and the guy gets mail-notification of new comments. Too much time explaining things to him.
ExpressionEngine implements Markdown Extra and BBCode. Please see the Markdown Extra docs and the BBCode Wikipedia article for a full reference.
