    I’m getting the following errors from Firebug when accessing the publish page on 2.1 (just installed from scratch):

    missing } after property list (index.php?S=xxx&D=cp&C=javascript&M=combo_load&ui=datepicker,resizable,draggable,droppable&plugin=markitup,toolbox.expose,overlay, scrollable,scrollable.navigator,ee_filebrowser&file=json2,cp/publish,cp/publish_admin&v=1279678713)

    $.datepicker is undefined (index.php?S=xxx&D=cp&C=content_publish&M=entry_form&channel_id=1 line 994)
    $(”#entry_date”).datepicker({ dateF…aultDate: new Date(1279749028000) });

    which means that none of the tabs or formatting buttons or the add file or show toolbar links work.

    I don’t think it’s a problem with files not being uploaded properly because I already that issue when I was trying to install and have reuploaded once already.

    Are you using the latest build?

    😖 I didn’t read the update instructions properly and now have overwritten my config files. Can you point me to a copy of what the default config files should look like so I can fill out the details manually?

    John,

    Just to confirm. You replaced the config file with a blank one?
    I attached a fairly typical one which should hopefully get you up and running again.

    Hi John,

    No attachment, but I was just typing a reply when I saw you’d posted.

    I eventually installed a copy locally so that I could then copy the contents of config.php and database.php up to the server and having updated all the files to the latest build, the js errors on the publish page have gone away.

    I have to say though, I thought finding default copies of the config files would be easier. Couldn’t find reference to them anywhere in the docs or in the forums. Would be useful to have around because there’s probably a few people who might get caught out like I did (possibly assuming that there’d be a backup file like there was for 1.6.x).

    John,

    dunno why that didn’t attach but glad you are up and running again. Your config default question would make a good feature request or there is nothing stopping you adding a default one to the Wiki yourself.

    As always feel free to start a new thread if you have any more questions.
