    Argh- I posted to ‘How to’- which will be the correct forum if we’re talking something beyond the standard behavior.  But since my reply is all about ‘stock’ behavior, I’ll duplicate here:

    From the description, it may be better as a ‘How to’ question if you need to alter how the standard user message templates work.  They are required for most posts, but you can alter the look in ‘Admin- Specialty templates- User Message Template’.  You’ll see the EE variables available to you in the existing message.  If you want to alter the text displayed for specific messages, you’d do that by altering the language files in system/language/- for each language you’re using.  If you’re having trouble finding a specific message, let me know what the exact wording is now and how you trigger the message and I’ll track it down for you.

    Does that help clarify?  From the ‘How to’ post, I wasn’t entirely sure what you’re going for.
