    Hi.

I have a feeling this is an easy one:

I’d like to move several of my entries from Blog A to Blog B. In the control panel when I click on Edit Entry > Options, I can see under “Weblog” that I SHOULD have the ability to switch blogs right then and there.

The problem is my newly created “Blog B” does not show up in the drop-down choices. This is a simple setting, somewhere, right?

    Please help.

    Thanks,

    -Chris

    Greetings:

The blogs need to share the exact same status, category and custom fields.  If they do, the choice should be there.  If not, you’ll probably need to do a manual move.

    Thank you, Greg.

    That makes sense.

By moving them “manually” do you mean to simply create new entries into the new blog, or is there a smarter/easier way to accomplish this?

yes, that’s exactly what I meant.  Do your filed/status/category groups line up? between the different blogs?

They currently do not…but now that I understand this better, it would be easy enough to change. I probably made them too specific anyway, so it wouldn’t be a big deal to have them all share the same category and field names.

    Thanks for your advice!

Everything’s good. Thanks for your fast and concise responses.

I’m new to EE and it’s been a HUGE learning curve, but I’m seeing so much potential as a great solution for my clients needs down the road that it’s all been worthwhile.

I have many more questions, most of which I’m sure I can find by searching the forums, but it’s a great comfort to know that EE backs their product with this level of quality tech support.

    Thanks Greg!
