Has anyone had issues getting email notifications from a EE hosted on an IIS 6.0 server? I’m testing it through “Communicate” and I can’t seem to get it to send anything. I have it set up throught PHP Mail. Has anyone had similar issues?

Welcome to the forums, jzador. Make sure to turn on email debugging: what error messages, if any, are you getting? What version and build of EE are you using?

The build is 20081024 and I’m actually receiving no errors which is leaving me to believe that it is a server/firewall error on our part. And the email errors are enabled. Basically it is just hanging up and our server is resetting the connection throwing an error before i get any EE errors. So, it’s not giving me to much info to trouble shot!

    Greetings jzador!

We have seen this come up a couple of times.  First, take a peek at this KB Article, and there are some interesting tidbits in this thread in regards to II6 as well.

Please let us know if that gets you anywhere.

I’m playing around with that, but so far it hasn’t worked. Thanks for everyone’s input!

So with email debugging “on” you are not getting any errors returned, correct?  if this is the case, EE has constructed the email and handed it off to the server.  You might check with your host/server admin to see if they can help you pin point any possible places where it could be failing.  I remember a few other posts about this, and I’ll do some digging to see if I can come up with anything else.

I really appreciate it! I’m going to check the logs to see if I can’t see something odd. Thanks again!
