We’ve been having some performance problems with our EE sites, in which the SQL databases become logjammed with queries. One of the things EngineHosting has suggested is deactivating the update_stats() function call in core.system.php, which I’ve seen mentioned elsewhere on the boards. What I haven’t found yet is the side effects, if any, of doing so. If this line is disabled, how is EE affected?
