    I figured out how to start the blacklist from updating to htaccess file, but how to I stop it?

    I have tried unchecking the box in the “view blacklist” module, but it keeps checking itself again when I go back to that page to add a new URL.

    And when I try to clear the path to the file, it comes back w/ an error that it’s an invalid path.

    How do I stop it?
    Thanks!!!!

    I am wondering if I could delete the line from my config.php file then? Would that remove the path from the control panel?

    $conf['htaccess_path'] = "/home/xxx/public_html/.htaccess";

    I don’t want to mess it up if it shouldn’t be deleted. Thanks!

    debbieT, make a backup copy of your config.php file, and then remove the link from your config.php file.

    When you do an initial install, that value isn’t there at all.

    Hey Sue,

    Thanks for moving my post to the Tech board. I realized after that I should have posted here.

    Anyway, yes, I made a copy and deleted that line. All seems to be well.

    The path has been removed from the blacklist module, and when I view the blacklist contents, there is no checkbox at the bottom!

    That is just what I wanted to do!

    Thanks!

    I’m happy Sue got you up and running.  I’m going to close this post for now, but please don’t hesitate to post back if you run into any other questions or issues.

    Thanks,
