    Hi,

    I’ve a problem with the simplesearch form - the no_result_page parameter isn’t working, no matter what I try to direct it to. I’ve explicitly set it to go to “search/noresults”, which i think is the default anyway, but it goes to search/index, so evidently it’s not understanding something.(The results_page parameter works fine.)

    I do have stuff in .htaccess but nothing that should interfere with that, and we’re not removing index.php from our urls.

    The opening simplesearch tag is:

    {exp:search:simple_form search_in="everywhere" weblog="this|that|theother" result_page="search/results" no_result_page="search/noresults"}

    By the way can you use weblog=“all”? It’s not in the EE docs but it would be handy.

    If you don’t specify a weblog, it should default to all of them, so should be good there.

    Hm- is it possible to link to the form?  And while I doubt it’s a factor, might pull your htaccess for a quick test.  Could be something as simple as removing/forcing www.

    Oh- and what version and build of EE are you running?

    I just had a similar problem Smithy. For me it turned out that the page I’d redirected to - also search/noresults - was throwing the default system error message rather than redirecting to the template I’d set up. The reason for that seemed to be that when I set up that template I’d duplicated the search results page to save myself on coding, but of course I hadn’t yet got rid of the {exp:search:search_results} tags that had been there and these were throwing the default error. Once I ditched them I saw the template I was expecting again.

    Hope this helps you out.
