My client would like to be able to search both the weblogs and the Discussion Forum from a simple search box on the home page.  As far as I can tell, the search functions for the weblogs and forums operate independently, right?

As we were discussing possible alternatives to his requirement, we wondered if it would be possible to have two search boxes on the front page - one to search the weblogs and one to search the forums.  Is there a tag that will call the forum search function from the weblog template?  Or do we need to descend into the depths of PHP/SQL in order to get what he needs?

    Thanks!

You can use a google custom search for that.

This is a secure intranet with no external network access.  I don’t think I can use Google for that, but thanks…
