Currently, I have EE set to use entry ids in URL of posts, so that things are rendered as such:

    mysite.com/index.php/weblog/34

I did this because I feared what would happen if two entries from the same blog had the same title. Thinking about it now, I realize I don’t know if that’s an actual problem.

So, what would happen in this situation. Would EE “know” which was which?

or, is it possible to render the url with the ID and Title, like this:

    mysite.com/index.php/weblog/34/title-of-post ?

Yes, url_titles need to be unique. The good news is: EE will take care of that, if necessary. You can specify the url_title yourself, but if it’s already taken, EE will automatically add a number to it.

csavannah, did you get enough information from Ingmar to answer your question(s)? Can we close the thread?
