Hello,

I was wondering if anyone here has ever setup a PDF download to use EE username and or password dynamically.

Basically what I’m trying to do is sell PDF’s through a foxycart store and use the member’s name and password as a way to unlock the PDF for viewing.

The selling part is in place I’m just trying to figure out the latter—that being the variable data part.

You mean you want to encrypt the PDF with the user’s password? At run time? Not so easy. For starters, we don’t have access to their password, only a hash. Even then, creating a PDF on the fly is not trivial: you would have to code it yourself, probably using some sort of PDF class. I have heard good things about TCPDF.
