I can’t get CAPTCHA to show on any of my sites. I double-checked all settings and ensured GD is enabled on my server. They have worked in the past, but recently stopped working (I’m not completely sure of the date they stopped working.)

Paths all look correct and haven’t been changed from when they were working. Directory is writable. Etc.

I do notice that the system apparently generates a file called ‘.jpg’ in the /images/captchas directory. If I delete the file it goes away until I load a page with a CAPTCHA on it. Then the file is added to the directory again by the system.

Any ideas?

I recall some CAPTCHA related issue being fixed in one of the latest builds. Try updating your build to 20080710.

Build update repaired this issue. Thanks for chiming in Ingmar. And my apologies for not checking for a later build in the first place. 😊
