Maybe someone has seen this, or has an idea of how it could work…

I’d like to set up a blog entry that allows the author to write a review of a music album, and have the artwork for that album automatically displayed in with the post.

I figure it must be possible, since there are a ton of 3rd party programs out there that search for album covers, but I haven’t seen anything that can be implemented into a website/blog.

    Any ideas?

You can create a custom filed, have the author upload the artwork and post the respective data to that field.  Or, you can associate artwork with a number of categories and have the author choose the category, thus associating the entry with a respective piece of artwork.

Essentially, there will be some manual labor involved pulling and displaying artwork with an entry.

Sounds like there’s no option for tapping into the database like iTunes uses. If only I knew how to program these things… seems like that would be a pretty popular tool for music bloggers.

Even for iTunes, they require you to upload/include your podcast image to their db or podcast XML, if you will.  I am sure it’s the same for the albums.
