i tried adding the RSS of this forum to my reader, after asking for my username and password of this site i managed to get it into the reader but the latest post shown is from august 2007. It would be much easier to keep up with the new discussions in the forum if the rss was available. just a request, what do you guys think?

There are some hidden forums here which are password protected and those require a password to get in.  You can also subscribe to individual areas (many people might subscribe to the jobs board only.)

Do you really need/want all of the posts that go on in this forum?  I would subscribe only to the areas that you would like to follow.

Edit: Removed question because I answered it myself.

Well if you wanted to subscribe to the Lounge forum you would go to this link :

    feed://ellislab.com/forums/atom/28/

Pretty sure that should do it for you?

    Best wishes,

    Mark

Ah I see, sorry I confused RSS with Email subscriptions 😉

Thanks for pointing it out, of course per RSS it works.

The rss and atom feed links at the bottom of the page link to the forum category you are in. I’ve been subscribed to the new sites forum for a while now.
Maybe depending on the forum theme you have loaded, but the link is at the bottom center of the page, that matches the link Mark mentioned.

Yep they are down there as well. I was actually getting the link from clicking on the RSS button in the address bar in Safari.

    No scroll involved 😉 😊 😉

    Best wishes,

    Mark
