Hi folks, I am having a very similar problem with a site and tried following the advice here. My problem was that anytime I clicked on a weblog in the publish tab I would be redirected to the CP login page. No matter how many times I logged in it just didn’t work.
I created a session cookie and disabled secure forms. After a few minutes it actually was working. To double check I logged out and attempted to log back in. Now I can’t get into the CP at all. I’m trying to follow the advice to get back to square one but am having trouble.
I’ve added $conf[‘cookie_path’] = “”; to config.php to no avail. Cleared my cookies for the site, tried a different browser, same thing. Any help is much appreciated!
As additional info this problem I believe started when the site (that launched months ago) was upgraded to a new ftp server. I’m not sure if it’s related but it seems likely. mySQL version 5.0.45 if it helps.
