    Hello there,

for a client, I need a simple image upload form - the one which is integrated in the post entry form is not suitable for our issue. What is has to do:

    * It should replace the current image/file upload form of the post entry form
    * It should be as simple as the image upload form of wordpress (for example)
    * the author should choose an image to upload from his PC
    * or should choose from his own images already uploaded on the server
(this is important! the author should see only HIS OWN images - not _ALL_ images)
    * the author should see preview thumbnails of his images instead of a pulldown list of filenames
    * the uploaded file should be placed automatically in one of four custom form fields
      (image1, image2, image3, image4)

All together it has to be as SIMPLE AS POSSIBLE.

I did a huge research on this site, several EE pages and the net and didn’t find the right one yet. If there is anybody out there who has an idea where I can find that kind of upload form or who is using this already or who is able to develop it for me please post a reply here! (You’ll get paid for this! $$$)

    Thank you so much!
    Best regards from Salzburg, Austria

    Hi Englebert -

To my knowledge there isn’t that sort of file upload function available.  Some of your requirements would be covered by Mark Houts File extension but not all of them.

If you want to pursue finding a programmer to create this for you I’d recommend the EE Job Board for better exposure.

    Hi Michael,

thank you so much for your fast reply. I didn’t know about the File extension. I will try this one out for sure. If it will not fit for our project the EE Job Board will be the next step.

It is really a great pitty that not all plugins and extentions are listed in the download section on this site. I’m sure that many pearls of this kind are spread around the forum and other websites out there and you guys of the EE team but not (all of) us know about them. It would be very helpful for us developers to have a more or less complete source of extensions and plugins…. Well, I’m sure I’m not the first one who mentioned that… 😉

Actually, the wiki does a pretty good job of keeping track of third-party addons (even though it claims to be “superceded by our Addon-on Library.”)
