I’ve been developing a todo list/project management tool for the last couple of years on top of EE and it’s a bit unwieldy, so I’m slowly moving to CI, starting with developing the api for it in CI.  I now need to start moving the custom modules over and I wonder when there is likely to be a 2.0 beta?  I don’t even need it to run EE, just to understand how to convert things?

Hey, Phoebe - there isn’t any information on when there will be a beta. All of the information currently available can be found here.

You can always subscribe to our Announcements RSS feed in case there are further announcements about that.

    Thanks!

    Hi Lisa,

I realize you aren’t sharing a timeline re: EE 2.0. But aren’t you making available a version for developers to tweak their add-ons. I am not a developer, we just use the EE platform, but I was thinking: you have to release developer version first, right, so that will at least be a signal that it’s coming down the pike? Thanks, David Harper

Yes, developers will get a preview and time to work with first party developers make their add-ons compatible.

Right, thanks, but okay it’s almost June. Is there any loose guidance here: is the developer version imminent, isn’t there (I am just guessing) going to be at least a month or two between that release and 2.0 release. am i wrong, or isn’t the *best case* right now is something like developer release in June and proper in August or something? David

I know that you want more information, but there isn’t any more information to be had at this time.
