Caching Problems

I’m running into an issue on our site, www.elegala.com, where modified entries aren’t showing our changes. If I disable ‘SQL Query Caching’ under ‘Database Preferences’, I can see our updated entries. Re-enabling it shows the old entry.

I tried clearing all caches but that didn’t help. I also tried editing the article and clicking update, as suggested in this forum post. I also have “Cache Dynamic Weblog Queries?” disabled.

    Any ideas?

Let’s see if it’s a problem with the caching as a whole.  FTP, delete the contents of system/cache and then make sure the cache folder is writable (777 usually).  Then- turn ‘sql query caching’ on.  Surf around- via ftp make sure that a folder was created inside cache and that it’s filling up.  Once it is- go to ‘Admin- Utilities’ and clear all cached data.  Refresh ftp- did it clear it out this time?

Bingo! Looks like the system/cache folder was set to 757. Setting it to 777 fixed the problem. Thank you!

Woot!  Glad it was an easy fix.  I’ll go ahead and close this one out.
