    Hi

My web guy (who I no longer have) set up 2 Search Engine Optimising sections in EE for me to be able to constantly update. It’s really wierd though - as with a couple of the ‘Browser title page’ ones it won’t update.

When you go to the website for this particular page it actually says something completely different to what is typed into the section of EE. For example, when I go to my homepage it reads ‘Flickchicks - Documentary production company Brisbane cricket’ and in EE it reads ‘Flickchicks - A Brisbane video production company.

Is there a solution for this?? Has it been corrupted in some way.

It’s really frustrating and a little strange that I can’t update it and that the two don’t match!!

    Hope you can help.

    Cheers

    Hi Margie,

Usually in a stock install of ExpressionEngine the way people will get the title in the <title> tags is to use the standard weblog tag to pull out the single entry title either by placing the weblog tag up in the head section or by using an embed.

Without seeing your page template code there is no way for us to know if this is indeed what is happening on your site. You may well have the excellent module by Leevi Graham installed called LG Better Meta which would allow you to create a new title for the entry and this may indeed be the fact. When you say a couple of the titles don’t change though does that mean that all the rest do?

If you can possibly provide us with links to the pages that do work and the pages that don’t work and also any page template code, probably just need the head part of the code to save space in the forums then we should be able to help out a little more.

    Hope that helps.

    Best wishes,

    Mark
