    Hello 😊

    I’ve got 1.6.3 installed, Build: 20080319

    I would like to exclude my pages from the next/previous links that appear in single entry pages, as they’re not blog entries per se and don’t really fit into the flow. Since you can exclude them on your index page I thought I would ask, is there anything I can do about it, other than maybe change the dates on my pages a couple of years back?

    For example:
    This entry’s “next” link is to a page.

    Suggestions?

    Hm- I always put my static pages in their own weblog, so hadn’t run into this.  But- you do have a number of parameters for next/prev tags, so you could use any of those to deal with the issue.  Like I say- I go with a specific weblog to hold static pages- so the weblog parameter works fine for me.  But you could do a status, a category- something along those lines.

    That do the trick for what you need?

    If there is a way to fix this with those parameters then I’m simply not tech savvy enough to figure it out, heh! I did meekly try

    show_pages="no"

    but it didn’t do anything.

    Oh, I’ll use this;

    entry_id="not 2|9|23|50"

    but I do wish there was an easier way for the future pages I’ll make, since I’ll have to add each id after the fact.

    Grynet, as Robin mentioned, you could use a status or a category, which would make it easier to keep up with.

    I’d use a custom status of pages, and change my display page for my pages to show items with the status of pages as well as open.

    Does that help?

    When you put it like that... lol!

    I guess I could make a category for the pages and then exclude it from the category list.

    That does make sense!

    Thanks both of you 😊

    Yep- category, status, any of the existing parameters should do the trick.  Glad you got it squared away!
