    Howdy,

    I moved the files and DB over to my new server, and update config.php to show the new paths, but the control panel’s CSS has been stripped.

    Thinking it was a path problem in the system configuration, I did a find/replace to update all the paths in the ee_sites table.  Sadly, that hasn’t helped the matter.

    I’m running the latest version of EE btw, and a completely fresh install has no problems, so the problem is with the DB.  Can anyone give me some guidance on what I’m missing?

    Cheers

    Make sure the Control Panel theme URL and server path are correct. Log in and go to System Prefs and edit the Theme Folder Path. You can also declare it in the config.php file and override what is in the database.

    $conf['theme_folder_url'] = "http://example.com/themes/";
    $conf['theme_folder_path'] = "/var/www/example.com/themes";

    Doing a find/replace on the db table is generally a bad idea- it’s held in a serialized array and easy to bork.  Hopefully it is still non-borked.  ryanirelan is right on- you can try overriding the settings in the config.php file.  There are also some other factors that may be in play- check this kblog article- see if it helps if the path override doesn’t.
