    The users of a multisite install of EE cannot login to the control panel. They get the following error:

    You are not authorized to perform this action

    While, the superadmins are able to login just fine. It’s weird because yesterday it was working fine, and today it’s not.

    Any thoughts?

    Have you given them access to the control panel in their member group for that Site?

    Yes, they have access to their site only inside the cp.

    I did some more testing and what’s weird is that the users can’t login to the control panel under the main install location, but they can login under their domain location with the admin.php file. Can they only login under their domain?

    Well it depends what you have set in your CP member groups, which are set per Site.  Do you want them to login to the main CP, or to be able to switch sites?

    Also, what were the exact symptoms when they tried to login, and what version and build of EE are you on?

    They are set to only see the site that they manage within the CP. Preferably they are logging in at their domain using the admin.php file, but some of them are using the login at the install’s system/index.php file. But that is not working for them anymore (my problem)... so I’ve notified them to now use the admin.php file at their site. This is fine I guess.

    using version 1.6.2

    Thanks.

    You might go through each Site’s cookie preferences and post them all here.  We can try to help troubleshoot this.  Or if you’re good with having them use admin.php - which is probably the better longterm solution here, then that’s fine too. =)

    Thanks Lisa. I think I’m good with them using the admin.php file.
