Status problem with Member Groups

I have created a new member group with access to publish and edit any weblogs by any author.

When I login as a member of this member group - I can publish and edit most of the weblogs with no problem. However there is one weblog that changes the status to ‘closed’ when I edit it - and I cannot change the status to ‘open’.

I have checked everything I can think of and there is no difference between this weblog and all the others (which I can edit fine).

Can someone shed some light on why this might be happening?

First thing to check is that a status group has been assigned to the weblog- in ‘Admin- Weblog Management- Weblog Admin’ under the ‘groups’ section.  If that’s not it, I’ll lay out a couple of other options to check.

Thanks Robin - that’s done the trick.

The status group was set to ‘none’ - when I changed it to ‘default status group’ it worked correctly.
