    I am running ExpressionEngine 1.6.0 Build:  20070708

I can edit everything just fine within the regular gallery, but trying to moblog to it and I get the following error:

“Your server does not support the GD function required to process this type of image.”

My question is if I can use GD in the regular gallery, why can it not do this within the moblog? Or perhaps I am just slow.

    The gallery is over here

Can you go into a bit more detail about exactly when you are getting this error message? What are the exact steps you are following and when does the error appear?

Also, before we can troubleshoot this further, I’ll need to ask you to update to the latest version/build.  Thanks =)

Thanks for moving this, sorry about that.

Okay I’m updated and so now I’m using ExpressionEngine 1.6.1 Build:  20071204

When I go to the moblog module and click check moblog I get the following:

Emails Retrieved:  1   Entries Added:  0   Attachments Uploaded:  1   Pings Sent:  0
Your server does not support the GD function required to process this type of image.

But my regular gallery runs fine and I’m assuming uses GD in the same way.

If you email that image to yourself, and upload it manually to your gallery, does it work?

Now that I’m looking at it - it’s sent as an attachment (my carrier is sprintpcs if that makes any diff) and I can’t see it in my squirrelmail but I can in my gmail. Also, fwiw - I moblog to both flickr and tumblr with no issue. Thanks (as always) Lisa. Oh, and yes when I saved it manually added it - it worked fine.

Ha ha - I’m gonna go and try to find that right now. But while I’m looking, maybe someone will come along and tell me where to find it 😉

    GD Support => enabled
GD Version => bundled (2.0.28 compatible)

If you go to admin > utilities > php info, you’ll see that screen that Sue found.  It’d be helpful, so can I trouble you to take another screen cap?

    OK, Here’s another test.

If you use your GMail account to moblog in an entry, do you get an error message?

Trying to see if it’s the phone that’s the issue. (Wouldn’t surprise me in the least.)

Yup Sue - you were right. So my next question (probably obvious) is how to circumvent this?

Is the field you’re moblogging into a textarea?

It’s a gallery so I think the answer to that is no. LOL - I love that I’ve been using EE as long as I have and it still has the ability to make me feel like a total idiot.
