    Hi folks,

We have a gallery in which we have changed the thumbnail & medium sizes in the properties. We now want to resize all the images in there according to the new ratio.

Short of re-uploading everything, is there any other way to do this easily? A script, extension, etc.?

It would need to not only resize the physical image file but also update the width/height in the database records.

    Thanks,
    Af.

Afro Boy, there is no magic bullet to do this.

Robin had a very rough script to do this, but it’s not available on her site. (The post is a few years old.)

She should see this post tomorrow, and possibly have a new link you can test with.

I’ve used phpThumb to resize my images to do what I want. But that’s not a native EE solution.

I’ll second the phpThumb recommendation. Sure, it’s not native to EE, but it’s easy to implement, and the flexibility it offers is well worth it, IMO.

Cool thanks for the heads up. I’ll give that a look in.

Someone wouldn’t happen to have a rough script available to get me going though?  😊

I think Randy is really the pro on using phpthumb- check out this thread on using a weblog to power a gallery via phpthumb as well as this monster thread where I think the approach was first hashed out.

And there’s a rather newish EE plugin by Lumis… ImageSizer that could work. It doesn’t have all the bells/whistles/options that phpThumb has but it’s a native plugin and works for image resizing with a few options.
