Thanks to heaps of cash donated by an anonymous leprechaun, we are pleased to announce the hiring of Jamie Poitra as EllisLab’s new Software Developer.  Jamie comes to us from NetRaising, a prominent member of our Professional Network, where he is a Senior Web Associate and has helped countless people use ExpressionEngine throughout their web presences.

The entire Development Team is pleased to have someone with such knowledge of using and expanding ExpressionEngine join us, as we have ambitious goals for our web publishing software over the next two years and we know his contribution will help us push them even further.  It will also allow us to finally use some of our vacation time so that Derek can get a tan and Paul can spend some quality time with his remaining hair.

Before imaginations and rumors run wild, I wanted to let the community know that Jamie is joining EllisLab with our blessings.

We’ve been working behind the scenes for a few months now, trying to find a way to challenge Jamie, and the guy has somehow managed to survive everything we’ve thrown at him; and we’ve thrown a lot!

In our quest to keep his life interesting, and keep him out of mischief, we came up with the idea of him working as part of the team at EllisLab as the ultimate punishment for his good behavior and exemplary job performance at NetRaising.

No good deed should go unpunished. 😉

Please join us in celebrating this great opportunity for Jamie and wishing him great success in his new role!

What? You think I would just let him go that easy?

Actually, he’s still got one foot in the door here at NetRaising and one in EllisLab. Although down the road a bit he may become full-time at EllisLab.

And while I can’t replace Jamie, we’re now getting some extra bandwidth from Mr. Wilson, so we’re able to keep moving forward. Mr. Wilson is pretty awesome too; there’s no slackers on our team.

    😉
