I am 1/2 way through my upgrade and when I go to the upgrade.php there is no link for which to upgrade from.

    Not sure what is missing.

Also I am upgrading from 1.3.2 to 1.6.0

Also the image of the Expression Engine logo is broken.

I am trying to see how i can change my permissions with just my ftp client. It is not cooperating.

    Thanks,

Just to clarify- have you EVER seen the link to upgrade to the next version?  In other words- did you click it once or twice to upgrade to the next version and then on a page load the link had disappeared?  Or is your db still 1.3.2- since the link never showed to allow you to upgrade.

And to clarify more- the upgrade folder is inside your system folder- where it is in the fresh download- correct?  And the rest of your control panel was showing fine- no broken links or anything?  Lastly- did you upload a fresh copy of the themes folder- and all of the language files were updated- correct?

And really lastly- no chance your system/config.php file was actually replaced by a fresh copy, is there?  If you pull it down from the server and open it up, it has content and shows the version as- 132, I’m guessing.

I have never seen the link show up, though the page update.php does show up. It just looks like the attached.

    Huh.

I am not seeing the updates dir.

I will try that and report back.

ETA- nevermind!  Hee- hope you’ve got it fixed??

Hm- last time I saw this I believe it was likely due to a corrupted file.  They’d uploaded the zip, then unpacked it.  When they unzipped first, then uploaded, they had no trouble.  (Yes- should have worked either way, I’d think.)

But- just to see if the similarity continues- did you upload the zip first, then unpack?

And- I’d probably start by deleting the update.php and updates folder- replace with new ones in case there is a corrupt file.  Then I might do the same with system/language- being careful to keep a backup of any third party language files.

Sorry to jump in, but I’ve seen this a lot, so if I may? =)

This happens when /system/updates.php and /system/updates are not updated.  Please make sure you delete those from the server then upload them from a fresh download of EE.  That should have the link appear.
