I need to move my blog from a /whatever folder to the /index of the site.

I tried moving the files and updating but that didn’t work. What is the best route to achieve this? I’m at a loss here and need to get this damn thing up and running again. I backed up the database but that didn’t take when I tried to install. I had the blog up and running on the /index but all the paths to the blogs were screwed up, even after I changed them in the CP.

Any help would be appreciated. I have a community of 400 waiting on this and I can’t figure it out.

Have you changed the preferences in your config files? In your weblog preferences? Site Preferences? File upload preferences?

Any server path, and any web URL will need to be altered. As of EE 1.6.0, most of these configuration settings are now in the database, versus in <= 1.5.2 many are in the config.

It makes sense that the paths are screwed up, because you’re probably using the old URLs. {path=test/page} is dependent on your configuration setup, and if you haven’t changed that, then it is logical that paths are broken. Fix your settings, and you should be rocking.
